Notes: Quite a challenge to even decipher, let alone execute. In the Carnatic genre, Behag has assumed many shades of the Hindustani variants - Marubehag and other relatives, even Khamaj. This thillana seems to essentially establish the current grammar of the Carnatic raga since it embodies all threads - those with M1, M2, N1 and N2. Rhythmic patterns are of course a facet of all Lalgudi's works and this is no exception: structural masterpiece. Very educational to work on this indeed!
