Description
It was such honor for me to collaborate with such an eminent band – United States Air Force in Europe Band. For their trip in my country, Belarus, they commissioned me to compose something that could make a good bridge between the Belorussian and American people. With Commander and Conductor Lieutenant Colonel, R. Michael Mench, we decided that it should be a piece based on famous Belorussian tunes. So, here is “Songs of My Land”. It is my tribute to my country Belarus. I appreciate my American colleagues for the beautiful performance of my work. Let me say more – after the first rehearsal I was absolutely crazy for these musicians and said: - Slow down! Please, do not pass Flight of the Bumble Bee.
