Gojira new 8th album "back to big guitar riffs..more metal, but more modern sound" + tour dates

Gojira's last album was 2021's “Fortitude“ and it has been a huge couple years for the band as they were the first metal band to play the Olympics opening ceremony and winning a grammy .. for that collab song ... they are touring with Korn and also with Metallica.

the Olympic masterpiece got them on ... the ‘Back To The Beginning‘ live farewell concert for Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath most likey as well..

... they are on a high for sure ..

2026 will see them going bigger and better ... as they work on their 8th album and this one will have tons of eyes and ears on it for sure ... In a recnet shared interview with le Parisien, drummer Mario Duplantier stated

“It’s almost finished. We’re going back to big guitar riffs and a more metal, but more modern, sound. There are two more songs to refine. We wanted to move quickly, but we didn’t succeed. We thought about it so much that we almost got lost. It’s harder to match our tastes than when we were 20, and that’s normal.”
