Disney’s ‘Descendants’ and ‘Zombies’ unite for epic arena tour stopping in Cleveland

If you don’t have a tween at home, you might need to brush up on the latest Disney obsession. Think "High School Musical" meets your favorite Disney villains — that’s the winning formula behind the "Descendants" and "Zombies" movie franchises.

Both have scored multiple chart-topping hits. Now, they’re combining forces in one high-energy arena show: “Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour,” which visits Rocket Arena on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.

“'Descendants and Zombies: Worlds Collide' is basically all the songs that you know and love from both franchises coming together, being sung by every single person in the cast,” said cast member Dara Renee, who plays Uliana — the baby sister of Ursula the Sea Witch — in "Descendants: The Rise of Red."

When asked what it’s like to play the sister of such a famous villainess, Renee couldn’t hide her love for the role.

“It's so much fun to be a villain. I didn't realize how much fun it was gonna be. I was like, oh, like this is cool. I could stay in here for a minute. You get the cool costumes, you get the cool dance numbers, and you also get to do tricks. Like I have tentacles — how many people can say they worked with octopus tentacles?” she laughed.
