Roger performed his big hit, "Born Free" on this Gary Collins' Hour Magazine television show in 1986. Collins had starred in an NBC television adventure/drama series, "Born Free" in 1974, based on the movie by that name.
Roger's "Born Free" reached #7 on the Billboard charts in 1966. Born Free, was a 1966 British documentary drama film of a real-life couple who raised Elsa the Lioness, an orphaned lion cub, to adulthood, and released her into the wilderness of Kenya.
