Description
AION is a large scale orchestral work by Anna Thorvaldsdottir with choreography by Erna Ómarsdóttir. The work was commissioned by the Gothenburg Symphony and co-commissioned by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and will be premiered on May 24th 2019 by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and the Iceland Dance Company at the POINT Festival in Gothenburg.
The music of AION is equally intended to be performed as an orchestral work in a concert setting or with Erna Ómarsdóttir's choreography.
