I was choking on my tears… jin released Abyss on his birthday in 2020, right in the middle of dynamite’s massive success. he wrote the song to share his emotions with us, he was going through a period of burnout, wondering if he really deserved that kind of success.

he always showed us his happy side. so the fact that he chose his own birthday, a day that’s supposed to be about celebration, to finally open up to us… it just shows how heavy the weight must have been on him. this song makes me so sad but it is part of jin's story.

also never thought i would be able to hear this live + on piano ever
